Running LeanThinking ASEAN

THE PHILIPPINE ECONOMY IS GROWING

(1) All the more should you focus on RUNNING LEAN, because we are moving towards the ASEAN integration.

The Philippine economy has shown solid growth performance over the 2000s. The country, however, has notyet succeeded in translating this into inclusive growth, one that can benefit the entire population. (Asian Development Bank)

Despite opportunities created by the economic growth in the period, many people remain poor and unemployed, and investments in the country are still below the regional standard.

Identifying and connecting that missinglink between economic growth and poverty reduction is the Philippine economy’s enormous challenge. (Asian Development Bank)

It’s time that we start describing the world as “fat” or “lean.”“Lean” societies approach consumption and production with scarcity in mind.

Focus on our strengths

(2) As Filipino entrepreneurs, we have the opportunity to use our lean enterprises for building the country.

(3) Let’s foster a community to support each other in running lean.
