Universal Companies Fights Breast Cancer with $85,000 in Donations to City of HopeIn September 2006, spa professionals everywhere began replacing their usual hygienic vinyl gloves with pink gloves from Universal Companies, showing consumers their support for the battle against breast cancer. Since then, Universal Companies has donated over $85,000, including proceeds from the sale of these special gloves, to City of Hope, a leading Southern California biomedical research and treatment center and hospital for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The Pink Glove project was created when Universal Compa-nies joined efforts with Intrinsics® single-use essentials. The total prot from the sale of each box of 100 pink vinyl gloves, $5.50, is donated to City of Hope. “We are very glad that spa professionals want to partner with us in this effort to increase funding to battle breast cancer,” said Universal Owner & Founder Marti Morenings. “City of Hope is doing amazing research on ghting breast cancer, and we’re privileged to be a part of that work.”
