We began looking at the Marys River and the

Cascade-Willamette River watersheds.

A watershed is an area where water is collected

from rain.

Color Study

We were shown many different pictures of

murals from around the world.

We also walked around the

Co-op looking at their murals.

Mural Examples…

We then cut and fit pictures together to create an awesome rough draft of

our murals.

After that we painted small scale paintings of

the murals.

We transferred the painting to the mural boards using a grid

system.

We first chalked out the drawing onto the

boards…

We divided into two teams:

Ty, Ben, Sageand

Aja, Ian, Brandon

…And started painting!

We painted on boards inside so that the paint could cure.

It was still too wet outside to paint directly on the water collection tanks.

Then we began to install the individual boards onto the frame in front of the tanks.

We had great help from a few of the Three Waters Project

volunteers.
