cutting through the cityA Visual Storytelling Workshop with Ali Taptık28-29-30-31 March

The main focus of the ‘cutting through the city’

workshop will be to experience and depict

'commute as a space of coexistence'. We will

gather and create drawings, photographs,

stories, documents to tell the story of our time

travelling to and from school. Walking, driving,

riding or in public transportation, we will focus on

discovering ways of representing our daily

experience and our perception of Istanbul’s

various neighborhoods. Studying the effects of

design and architecture on our bodies and on our

relationships with familiar citizens can reveal how

this quotidian event shapes us like the buildings

we inhabit.
