Albert the Big Bad Scientist By: Randy Wang
Once upon a time, there was a scientist wolf named Albert. He lived by himself in a big
mansion. That night, the big bad wolf was hungry and had nothing to eat. Down the street, the
three pigs were finally moving out of their mothers house. Albert decided to come up with a
plan to blow the houses over. Albert thought about the variables he could change in theexperiment. The independent variable for his experiment was how big the breath he took in. Will
Albert take in a big breath, a medium breath, or a small breath? Those are our levels of the
independent variable. The dependent variable of the experiment is whether or not the house falls
over. After an hour of planning and thinking, Albert created a hypothesis. Albert predicted that if
the amount of air taken in is increased, then the house will fall. Albert was the same wolf taking
the breath, and the houses were created by the same pigs. Those are our constants. The first
piglet made a house of straw, the second piglet made a house out of sticks, and piglet three
created a house out of bricks. After the pigs built their houses Albert decided to attack. The wolf
came to the first pigs house. He took a small breath and then he huffed and he puffed and he
blew the straw house in. The pig ran off to his brothers stick house. Albert then ran to the
second pigs house. He took a medium breath and then he huffed and he puffed and he blew the
stick house in. As the sticks fell to the ground, the two pigs ran to their brothers brick house.
Albert sprinted to the third pigs house. He took a big breath and then he huffed and he puffed
and he huffed and he puffed until he finally gave up and dragged himself away. Happy that the
pigs had survived the attacks, the first pig and the second pig rebuilt their straw house and stick
house. The next morning the Albert came to the first pigs house. He took a small breath and he
huffed and he puffed and he blew the straw house in. The frightened pig ran to his brothers stick
house again. Soon, Albert came to the second pigs house. He took a medium breath and he
huffed and he puffed and he blew the stick house in. The scared pigs sprinted to their brothersbrick house. In ten minutes, Albert arrived at the third pigs house. He took a big breath and he
huffed and hepuffed and he huffed and puffed until he couldnt blow anymore and he ran away.
The thankful pigs rebuilt their straw and stick houses. The next day Albert came to the first pigs
houses and blew over the straw and stick houses with a small breath and a medium breath. Once
he arrived at the last pigs brick house, all the pigs were exhausted. Albert huffed and he puffed
and he huffed and he puffed and he huffed and he puffed and he huffed and he puffed and he
finally blew the brick house in. He ate the three pigs for dinner, and Albert enjoyed the
appetizing meal. After his third trial, he succeeded. Repeated trials, are perfect when testing an
experiment.
