• The time series of logarithmic fre-quency description of the short-term power spectrum.

• ASE is a log-frequency power spec-trum.

• Reduced spectrogram of the origin.

• Obtained by summing the energy of the original power spectrum within series of frequency bands.

Audio Spectrum Envelope (2)

• The bands are log2 distributed be-tween loEdge and hiEdge.

• R= 2^j octaves (-4<=j<=3)

• Edge = 2^(r*n) * 1kHz

• Default hiEdge = 16kHz• Default loEdge = 62.5Hz (8-octave)

• Bin = 8/r

• loFb = loEdge * 2^((b-1)*r)• hiFb = loEdge * 2^(b*r)
