- Just like a good neighbour will often help you out when you need something, countries help each other by trading goods and services that other countries need.

- Canada and the United States are not just neighbours but trading partners as well.

The United States is directly south of Canada and trades more than $550 billion goods and services each year.

Exports

- Exports are goods and services that a country sends to another country

- Can you think of any of our exports?*Hint: Think of our natural resources

- Energy (electricity) - Lumber- Oil- Livestock (i.e. beef) and grains- Cars and car parts- Lobster and other fish
