To talk about the order of things

*Primero, -a first Sexto, -a sixth

Segundo, -a second Séptimo, -a seventh

*Tercero, -a third Octavo, -a eighth

Cuarto, -a fourth Noveno, -a ninth

Quinto, -a fifth Décimo, -a tenth

*In Spanish, you would say PRIMER or TERCER if you used them before a singular, masculine noun. For

example, if you wanted to say “the first car”, you would say “el primer coche”. If you wanted to say “the

third dog”, you would say “el tercer perro”. You only use primero if you don’t use a masculine noun right

after it, such as “he arrives first to Spanish class”, or “él llega primero a la clase de español”.
