In a spirit of the common good
and for the protection of
individuals and the community,
Bishop Olmsted has asked all
parishes/schools to comply with
the mandatory face mask
policies that have been
implemented in their area or city.

Effective immediately,it is required that parishioners
and visitors to ourcampus wear a face mask for the
duration of their visit. This includes inside the church/
chapel and all public areas where social distancing is
notpossible. This new policy aligns with a mandate
just issued by our bishop that requires “all who attend
Mass to wear a face mask in a spirit of care for their
fellow parishioners.”We will also abide by a mandate
from Maricopa County dated June 19, 2020, stating
that face coverings are required anyone age 6 and
older to wear a facecovering whileinside a "place of
public accommodation," including grocery stores and
other retail shops, hotels, restaurants and bars, gyms
and on public transportation. The mandate also
requires masks in communal outdoor areas such as
sidewalks.
Adults with children between the ages of 2 and 5 must
take reasonable steps to cover their faces inside
public accommodations. Employees who interact with
the public or other staff members must wear masks.
The mandate makes exemptions for children under 2
years old and people with certain health conditions.
Dear Parish Family Members,

We’ve all heard the saying: “We plan; God laughs!” First, I
want to thank you for your prayers and good wishes; I
appreciate them all. I had planned to return to Ascension
after the 4th of July Holiday. That plan has to be delayed a
week. So now my “plan” is to return the week of July 13 and
hopefully be able to celebrate Mass on July 19th. That’s the
plan; I am waiting to hear what God thinks.
Know that I miss you all and look forward to my return.

God Bless you all.
Fr. John
