Communications networks are stressed, driven by consumers

demanding richer content anytime, anywhere. To handle

this explosive traffic growth, network service operators

require equipment that delivers higher

throughput, while being more cost-efficient,

flexible, scalable, and secure. Samudra

Communication is helping equipment

suppliers satisfy these requirements

by driving a transition that enables

service providers to deliver new

revenue generating services

at lower cost.

Sterlite’s outside plant product

suite offers the choice of using

standard products like joint

closures, with a flexibility of

replacing those components with

products which serves the same

application, but enhances the

access and security of the

network. These are also effective

for network roll out by offering

flexibility of pay as per use.

Sterlite offers FTTx solutions for

highrise buildings and single-family

units.The product portfolio comprises

of basement, boxes, floor distribution

boxes, MTCA boxes and fiber

connectivity accessories. The

advantage of Sterlite’s FTTx product

suite is that it is based on ‘plug and

play’ concept and hence is faster to

install, results in time savings and

require low skill set to install.

Sterlite Technologies offers a wide

array of cable designs for the

various needs of underground

installations: from dielectric

cables, to steel tape armor,

dielectric armor, ribbon tape,

antirodent protection, microcables

and many other customised

designs. In urban environments

where space for cable installations

is limited, our microcables have

proven to be a key element to

achieve more fibre density in

small conduits (microcables).

Whether your aerial needs require All Dielectric Self Supported Cables

(ADSS), with steel messenger (or dielectric messenger), lashed cables,

armored cables, antitracking protection, or any other specific

requirement, Sterlite can meet your needs. Our Gel Free ADSS Cables

have become the choice of many telecom operators around the world;

the ease of cleaning the fibres makes installation much easier, and

thanks to the strength properties of aramid yarn we can reach spans

above 1,000 meters with the certainty that it will provide enough

tensile strength to support its weight, ice and wind loads.

As Telecom and CATV Operators are

rushing worldwide to bring fibre to

the premises (FTTx), Sterlite stands at

the leading front in cable designs for

the last mile. Whether you need a

feeder cable, a drop cable, a flat drop

or distribution cable, we can provide a

solution to help you reach your

customers in a faster, less expensive,

reliable way.

SFP+ (Enhanced SFP) is a standardized form factor for fiber optic

transceivers and is used in datacom and telecom optical links,

offering a smaller footprint and lower power consumption than XFP

transceivers. Initial standard applications focused on 8G Fibre

Channel, 10GEthernet and 10G Fibre Channel, where the electrical

interface to the host board is a standardized serial interface called

SFI. The application have expanded to include SONET OC-192, SDH

STM-64, OTN G.709, CPRI wireless, 16G Fibre Channel, and the

emerging 32G Fibre Channel application.
