Autocratic Leader

• = is a leader who usually needs to dominate each other. The autocratic is unilateral and they attempt to achieve a single goal or objective.

Pros

• The task is straightforward. • The leader has clear authority.• This is ideal when quick decisions need to

be made such as in a hospital.

Cons

• Sometimes confused with yelling and abuse.• No room for negotiating.• Bad for creative or artistic type of jobs.

Real World Example • This is accepted because most people are familiar with

autocratic leadership. • There is less trouble adapting to this style.• This is the most acceptable form of leadership in stressful

situations. For example in a hospital when quick decisions need to be made there is one person who makes a quick decision.
