Introduction

Sustainable development is the development that meet the needs

of present without compromising the ability of future generations

to meet their own needs. One of the early solutions drafted for a

sustainable built environment is the introduction of “container

houses”

Container houses have the attractive qualities of being good for

the environment. Little energy is used to convert new or recycle

materials into one sustainable building. To built container house

has to rely on natural sources of energy.

Daylight Design Container City is my second assignment. In this

assignment I have to make 14 study model of the container houses

and design the windows based on the solution of the daylight

throughout the day. By looking at a site located in the tropics.

This assignment made me know more about how daylight is react in our life and how to design the space with the different type of win-

dows, window treatment, and also what kind of glass should we use. And to make the space either bright or shade, it is depending where

is the house located.
