Game Concept

• Use a given set of explosives to destroy a structure

Game Rules

• Dave cannot die, but can be dazed by:– Falling from a height– Being hit by flying birds– Being hit by falling tools/debris

Game Rules

• Structures can be made of varying materials:–Wood – can be destroyed with

gunpowder– Stone – can be destroyed with C4- Metal – can be destroyed with thermite

• Fuse - Each level will have a time limit. Once the time has run out, the fuse detonates all explosives. You can detonate before this by pressing the detonate button

• Other Structures – In more difficult levels, other structures that must not be damaged can be present. Damaging these loses you points (indicated clearly by a ‘Do Not destroy!’ sign).

Game Progress

• Levels are organized by chapter• Each level is completed when a ‘par’

percentage of the structure is destroyed• Each chapter only unlocks once the

previous chapter is complete• Each chapter introduces a new explosive,

steadily increasing level complexity and variance

• Game currency earned from each completed level

Points• Each level is rated – C to A+• Based on points and structure

percentage damage• Points earned through structure

damage• Bonus points earned by quick

detonation and leftover explosives• The Higher the rating, the more

game currency you earn

Game Modes

• Single Player – Main campaign• Dave’s house – design and build your

own structure. Improve and customise by spending game currency

• Challenge Mode – Challenge your friends via bluetooth or play online via game center! Take it in turns to destroy as much of the other person’s ‘house’ to win game currency

Environments• Six chapters – each chapter has 10 levels• Each chapter adds new explosive• Each chapter also changes in art style and

structure complexity (different environments)– Construction site– Urban– Desert– Arctic– Gothic– Industrial

Environments

• Different environments alter weather, which can affect daves movement (Ice and rain, etc). Wind effects will also alter throwable weapons trajectory.

Cut Scenes

• Intro cutscene is shown before each new chapter

• Short and entertaining cutscenes will reward the player after completion of each chapter
