Mrs. Gauriben Keshubhai is one of our SHG member belongs to the VC Para
Morbi. She is very enthusiastic and active woman. Regularly She takes part in
every meeting and activities of the centre. She has a young boy was working
in Jeen Factory at Morbi. Unfortunately the bread winner of the family met with
the accident and in the accident he lost his hand. And after the accident he lost
his job because he was not able to work. His mother became very helpless and
in this situation she decided to begin a small income generation programme.
First she tried with little papad making and little bit of other fried items. In this
small business we found it as good and getting something to buy daily bread.
Being empowered by the services given by the centre and WEP programme
she is able to withstand in all the situations of life. This small business
encouraged her to take loan from the SHG group and started the same business
in a larger way. She became the star of the family. She handled all the
problems in a smooth way. She is very much grateful to the centre and the
SHG group members. Today she encourages the other women to be
empowered through the service they get from the Navjeevan Trust.
