Students watched Common Sense Media’s “Digital Trails” video. They also evaluated 2 sets of footprints to see who shared private or personal information. Private information should NOT be shared with strangers. Things like your full name, phone number, address, birthdate, and even your school’s name are private. Personal information that tells things about you but does not tell who you are, is OK to share. Things like your hobbies, books you enjoy, movies you’ve seen, and favorite foods or things are personal information. Students completed the Wixie assignment posted in their Google Classroom. These safe digital citizens want to share their footprints with you. Comments have been self-edited.https://www.commonsense.org/education/digital-citizenship/lesson/digital-trails
