• Developed from existing frameworks, research on what great teaching looks like, and direct input by policymakers practitioners who are personalizing learning in the field.

• Not meant to be a new set of standards, but are intended to emphasize the knowledge and skills that are uniquely required in personalized settings.

• Best achieved by teacher teams and when embedded within a system that supports personalized learning.
