KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
EVA MÖRK is a Professor of Economics and Deputy Head of the Department of Economics, Uppsala University (UU). Mörk has been working on research questions related to public, political and labor economics and published theoretical, methodological and empirical articles in leading journals in both economics and political science.. She has a well‑established international network, is affiliated with several international research groups such as CESifo in Munich, IEB in Barcelona and IZA in Bonn, and is regularly presenting her work at international
conferences and workshops. Since 2011, she is a member of the Prize Committee for the Alfred Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic sciences.Mörk is also active in the Swedish policy debate. She is frequently giving advices to government offices, and in 2010 she was part time employed as a senior advisor at the Swedish Ministry of Finance. She is the chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Centre for Business and Policy Studies (SNS) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of The Swedish National Audit Office.
STEVE YAMARIK is a Professor of Economics at California State University in Long Beach, California, USA and Affiliated Faculty at Henan University in Kaifeng, China. He received his PhD degree in Economics in 1996 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His previous positions include Oberlin College, University of Akron, and Tufts University in the USA and Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He conducts research into U.S. regional growth, the effects of trade agreements and cultural institutions on international
trade and economic instruction. He has published over 30 articles in leading peer‑reviewed economics journals including.
BOTOND KŐSZEGI, University Professor of Economics at Central European University, was previously Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and then Professor of Economics at the University of California at Berkeley. He received a BA in mathematics from Harvard University in 1996, and a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. He was one of the first students to write a PhD thesis entirely on behavioral economics. He has since published extensively on behavioral‑economics topics – including several lead articles – in top
journals. He has received European Research Council Grants in 2012 in 2018, and the Jahnsson Award, a biennial award for the best economist in Europe under the age of 45, in 2015. He was Managing Editor at the Review of Economic Studies.
