SMART Recovery for Family & Friends

The SMART Recovery goal for Family & Friends is for you to achieve a healthy, positive and balanced lifestyle while supporting your Loved One (LO) in a meaningful and truly helpful way. Our approach:• Teaches self-empowerment and self-

reliance.• Encourages individuals to change

unhelpful habits and live satisfying lives.

• Teaches tools and techniques for self-directed change.

What is CRAFT?

CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) is an evidence-based programme designed to teach family and friends new ways of interacting with a person who has an addiction with a goal of increasing the chances that the person will seek recovery.

What participants say…

“SMART Recovery F&F meetings help me regain my self balance, and remind me of the need to look after myself first. The support and encouragement from those in the F&F meetings have helped strengthen me, so that I can better support my LO when he's ready for help.”Anita, UK online
