Evaluating My Performance at Each Stage of the Design Cycle
Monday, December 12, 2011
Investigation
The goal of this stage is to make several logos for the Design Cycle and The IB Learner Profile. This was the first part of the Design Cycle. I interviewed a client to know what type of logo that attracts people. I did some brainstorm and research to know some of the famous logos.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Design
I make 15 possible designs for the Design Cycle and the IB Learner Profile. I tried to apply almost all of the details needed to produce an efficient logo. I use several bright color to make an attractive logo. I didn’t use I think I did quite well on this Design Cycle.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Plan
I made a timeline for this logos design project. I predict that all of the logos can be done within 6 IT class. I didn’t exactly follow the timeline for this project because it is hard for me to design using the tools that I never used before.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Create
I started this stage by designing the first logo that is the Investigation Stage. This is one of the neatest logo that I designed on this project. The rest of the logos were quite messed up and too colorful. I took some pictures from a design book I bought for inspiration, then I tried to copy some of their ideas on my logos.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Evaluation
This stage include evaluation of everything I have done and evaluates the whole project. I put some feedbacks from my client and the peers in class. I need the client feedbacks to know what doesn’t match my client’s request. I did well in this last stage of the design cycle. I include modifications of products, successful/unsuccessful points of product, and the impact on the environment.

time to make them more attractive.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Successful Points of Product
The 5 Design Cycle logos was attractive and colorful.
All of them explains about each stage quite well.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Unsuccessful Points of Product
I put too much variety of colors in the last Evaluation logo Design and people may found out that it was too colorful.
The designs are too simple.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Modifications/Improvements of Products
If I had a chance to create another logo, I will make sure that they are attractive but not too colorful.
The logos must be simple and straight to the point.
Monday, December 12, 2011
Client Evaluation
These 5 Design Cycle logos that you designed was not bad. But you have to consider about the colors that you added on the logo. Some of the logos such as the “Create Stage” was not attractive and the color that you insert doesn’t match.
Monday, December 12, 2011
The Impact on Society
Students will understand better with the help of these logos were designed to make the Design Cycle more attractive to students.
Monday, December 12, 2011
The Impact on the Environment
I designed all of the logos using two softwares that operates with a laptop. The laptop get it’s power from the electricity supply that cannot be replaced. It does harm some trees when I print the logos in a full A4 paper.
