Honors students are automatically signed up for 8th grade

(Spring NWEA Scores are still used for placement)

Honors Science Criteria Honors Math Criteria

- Enrollment in Advanced Math - Level 1 on Math MEAP

- Level 1 MEAP Science test - NWEA score of 243 or above

- Level 1 MEAP Reading test - Teacher Recommendation

- Average grade of A- in prior Science class - Ability to work one grade level ahead

Honors Social Studies Criteria Honors English Criteria

- Level 1 MEAP Social Studies test - Level 1 on Reading MEAP

- Level 1 MEAP Reading test - Level 5 or higher on the GP Writing

- Level 5 or higher GP Writing test - NWEA score of 231 or higher

- Average grade of A- in the prior SS class - Teacher Recommendation

- Ability to work one grade level ahead
