Fracking Debate

IES Los Boliches13th February 2014

Overview

The following debate about fracking is the product resulting from a didactic unit devoted to the environment in the English class. All the characters are fictional and have been created to simulate a tv program (The Talking Box) on this controversial issue.

Although improvements can always be made, we are satisfied with the outcome sincestudents are now aware of the terrible consequences of fracking for the environment and the serious impact on our lives. They have improved their linguistic, social and artistic competences.

AchievementsSome groups have done an outstanding performance on playing their roles.

All of them made an effort to do their best.

Team work, co-ordination and interaction skills have often been used.

Critical thought and reflection about human actions have been promoted throughout the whole activity.

And the last but not the least important… WE HAD FUN LEARNING ENGLISH !!.
