(b) Ex-serviceman who has joined civil employment after availing the benefit given to him as an ex-serviceman for his'
employment, his ex-serviceman status for the purpose of re-employment in Government would cease. He will be deemed as

employee in normal course.
(c) Further, the upper age limit is relaxable for Govt.servant candidates as per existing Govt. rules in this regard and

persons. One eyed candidates and partially blind candidates who are able. to read with or without

entitled to a Scribe. Such candidates .will have to bring their own Magnifying Glass to the Examination

TYPING TEST:-
1. The Typing Test will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the examination, will have
to indicate their option.

3. Candidates opting for English Typing shall have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi
Typing shall have typing speed of. 30 words per minute on Computer. Thirty Five w.p.m. and thirty w.p.m.
correspond to 10500 key depressions per hour and 9000 key depressions per hour respectively. The speed will be
adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes.
4. Visually Handicapped candidates(with 40% disability and above) will be, provided Passage Dictators for the
Typewriting test by the FactorylUnit. The Passage Dictators will read out the passage to the VH candidates within
theallotted time period. . - '

Question will be aimed at testing the candidate's General Awareness of the environment around him. Question will also be
designed to test knowledge of basic science studied upto 10

standard and would include such matters of every day
observations and experience as may be expected of any educated person.

There shall be no interview for filling up of these vacancies.

1. There will be a written 'examination of one paper. The paper will be of Objective-Multiple-choice-type of

3. On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in Written Test, candidates \.25 times the number of vacancies
shall be called for Trade Test(Practical) in the respective trade. The Final select list shah be based on marks irt the Written
Test only, the Trade Test (Practical) being qual~fying in nature. The final Select list shall b~ prepared In order of merit.
4. In selection process, other things being equal i.e. marks being equal, trained Ex-trade Apprentices of Opto
Electronics Factory, Raipur, Dehradun and sister Ordnance Factories will be given preference in the order IlS stated under:

Raipur, Dehradun, the crijeria will be the NCTVT examination batch numbers/month/year) as well as the merit list of the
particular NCTVT examination. '

c). Similarly, in between the trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the sister Ordnance factories, preference shall be given to
those who are senior as mentioned above. In all other' cases of tie, the selection will 'he decided on tne basis of marks

5. Ex-Trade Apprentices ofOpto Electronics Factory would not be required toapply against this advertisement. They
will be considered along with others. Admit Cards will be issued to the Ex-Trade Apprentices of O.L.F at their addresses, as

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: .
a) Applications must be submitted in the prescribed form published with this advertisement as Annexure A .
b) The eligible candidates fulfilling the requisite specifications may submit their application to The General
Manager, Opto Electronics Factory, Raipur, Dehradun - 248008 (Uttrakhand).
c) Application must be filled up either in EnglishlHindi.
d) Candidates must write the name of the post applied for on the left corner of the envelope in BOLD CAPITAL
letters. Application may be rejected if not superscribed with the name of the post applied for or name of the
incorrect post on the envelope.
e) Duly self Attested Photocopies of certificates (in support of Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste Certificate,
Disability certificate, Discharge certificate etc.) are required to be enclosed with the Application form.

The candidate should paste(not staple) a recent PASSPORT SIZE self attested photograph(not more than 03
months old) on the application form and enclose 02 additional self signed (sign must be on front side only)
similar photographs along with his/her application. Name of Candidate and post applied for should be
written on backside of each extra photograph.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANTS/CANDIDATES:
a)
Before applying for the. post, the applicant(s) should read carefully all the instructions to satisfy themselves
abouttheir-eligibility for the post so as to avoid anydisappointment at later stage.
Candidates appearing for written test will travel on their own expenses. However, SC/ST candidates appearing
for Written Test will be paid passenger Train (only second class)/Bus fare to and fro on production of
TrainlBus tickets by the shortest route. The re-imbursement of journey fare for first 30 Kms. of each side is not
payable. The aforesaid concession is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/State
Government service. The Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should produce appropriate certificate at
the examination hall to claim re-imbursement of travelling fare, failing which travelling allowances will not be
re-imbursed. .
Submission of any false/incorrect dubious information in the application fotm shall disqualify the candidate at
any stage of selection process. Appointments obtained on the basis of concealment of facts or false
declarations are liable to be cancelled.
The Candidature of the candidates shall be cancelled, if he/she submits more than one application form for
same post.
Candidates serving in any Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking including Railways should
apply through proper channel or should apply directly to the this factqry(OLF), with NO OBJECTION
CERTIFICATE from the employer to avoid delay. Failure to do so will disqualify the applicarlts and the
