Survey on EBM knowledge & implementation among University Hospital staff

Presentation and promotion of INNO-MED project at the local level

EBM Survey Pilot opinion poll was performed to examine knowledge

and implementation level of EBM principles in healthcare settings University Hospital in Olomouc, 343 respondents.

Based Medicine?2. Have you been using Evidence Based Medicine in your

clinical practice?3. What are the major obstacles to using Evidence Based

Medicine?4. Are you interested in improving your knowledge of

Evidence Based Medicine?5. Your age?

EBM Survey Results 27% of respondents had sufficient

information to use EBM. 26 % of respondents confirmed practical

use of EBM. Lack of time (29%) and lack of

information (24%) were considered major obstacles to using EBM.

About 80% of respondents showed interest in EBM training.

Results Enhanced IT support in clinical settings, better level of awareness about EBM by

IT staff, better understanding hospital clinicians´ EBM needs, sharing experience among healthcare IT specialists in Central Moravia.
