Congenital heart disease is a serious, life threatening complication, ranking as the third killer disease among children under 5 years of age in China. Each year,

200,000 newborns suffer from congenital heart disease. Only about 60,000 of these children receive treatment. Gansu alone is among the provinces with the highest incidences of congenital heart disease, with 6,000 cases a year, yet less than 20% of who receive any treatment. Families cannot afford the surgery, and

most children will not survive beyond the age of 10.

Congenital heart disease is a defect in the heart of a newborn. Symptoms include heart murmurs, shortness of breath, the clubbing

of blue finger tips and toes due to insufficient oxygen, chest pain, syncope, respiratory infections, underdevelopment of limbs and

muscles, poor feeding, poor growth, and a build up of blood and fluid in the lungs, feet, ankles, and legs. Some children initially have no signs of illness, and many die due to the lack of awareness of this

silent killer.

We focus on loving poor children with congenital heart disease in

Gansu Province. We sponsor heart surgery, restore health, and

provide holistic love and care after surgery so that they can

lead normal healthy lives.

We integrate technology,
