TheNexus®1450meterisprotectedwithamulti-levelCyberSecureconfigurationwith10highlysecureencrypteduserIDsandpasswordsthathelppreventtamperingandhackingofyourpowersystemdata.Themeter'sbuiltinWebView™EnergyDashboardallowsyoutoanalyzemeteringdatawithoutneedingsoftware.Youcannavigateeasilythroughmultiplewebpageviewsandgetdetailedinformationonenergyusageandpowerquality:viewrealtimedata,analyzestoredhistorylogs,viewalarmsandwaveformrecords.

With6simultaneouslyoperatingcommunicationports,themeterisacommunicationhubtomultiplesoftwaresystems.TheNexus®1450meterhas4serialportsthatspeakModbusandDNP3.0protocols.ItalsohastwoindependentEthernetports,consistingofa10/100BaseTcopperRJ45connectorandanSTTerminated100BaseFXFiberOpticEthernetport.EachEthernetporthasauniqueIPaddress.Throughthemeter's6ports,auserisabletocommunicatetomultiplecomputer-basedsystems,providingdatatoentitiesthroughoutanenterprise.

TheNexus®1450meterutilizesEIG’slatestmeasurement-sensingtechnology-Multi-Gain™.Multi-Gain™technologyusestwosensorsonthecurrentinputs-ahighgainsensorandalowergainsensor.Eachsensorsimultaneouslymeasuresthecurrentsignalcomingfromtheexternalcurrenttransformers.Themeter’sintelligentprocessinglooksatthesignallevelanddeterminestheoptimalsensingcircuitforthehighestaccuracymeasurement.Withthistechnique,themeterhas0.06%accuracythroughoutanextendedmeasurementrange,whichisadefiningtraitofNexus®Seriesmeters.
