===================================
I hope this email finds you well. I thought it
will be easier to update you on everything that I know. The Fall semester for us starts on August 17th. The new residents will be announced on July 15th, which I will send over that information to you once it is re-
leased. For the Pilot Shower, we might have to plan that event differently this year. As of right now, in SSF guidelines, we cannot have any guest over or that will be a policy violation. I'm sure that will mean we can't have our normal Pilot Shower. We will be quarantined for the first 2 weeks, wearing a mask inside the house and in-creased sanitation. I have attached the guidelines to this email and I will get an update on that August 1st. I hope you all are progressing well and picking back up where you left off. Our FGCU Covid-19 Plan was approved by the Board of Governors so we will be 50% on campus and other courses will be online which we find out about on July 1st. Sorry, it took me longer to reach out I was completing my summer courses. If you have any questions, please let me know. Have a great day. Best Regards,
Danarria Stone

volunteer for the Rotary Club

Myra Kalodish had a lovely lunch with Sue Lester. Look who they “bumped” into at Brambles Tea Room. Myra and the Queen had to hear about the Pilot Club of Naples. Myra will attend a meeting soon but we were not able to get a commitment from Her Majesty The Queen—Royal. uk
Could it be Christmas in July? With the Covid-19 quarantine, there is not much news to report. This is a good time to remember some good times when we were together. Our Annual Christmas Party is always a good time. We have hundreds (maybe more) pictures of Pilot from over 25 years. Beware, they can show up at anytime.
The mission of Pilot Scholarship House
Foundation. PSHF was established by
the Florida District of Pilot International.
Currently there are four scholarship
houses at three universities across the
state—Florida State University, the Uni-
versity of Florida and Florida Gulf
Coast University. 77 students are as-
sisted annually through university hous-
ing scholarships. In cooperation with
Southern Scholarship House Founda-
tion, PSHF saves each student over
$13,000 per year. The collective sav-
ings of students helped through PSHF
total over $1 million every year. Fu-
ture PSHF plans include a fifth scholar-
ship house (for 17 students) at Florida
Gulf Coast University that is projected
to open in 2022. The Strive for Five
Campaign is underway to raise funds

Wishing each of you a Happy 4th of July weekend.
Please stay safe and follow all the health guide-
lines. Coronavirus has become even more serious.
The sooner they get it under control, the sooner we
can restart our Pilot Club and catch up.

Christmas in July! Looking over some good days in the Pilot Club of Naples Page 3
Notes from the video of PI President Debbie Hays
State of the Organization:
The budget passed and the audit has been accepted.
There are 3 new clubs with the most recent one in Japan.
There were 7 clubs disbanded. There are 3 new Compass
clubs with a total of 19. Membership has increased to
6,134 members in the 307 clubs. Without the PI Con-
vention, Peggy Benton has accepted the position of 2020
-2021 President. There were 92 present in the Zoom
Council of Leaders meeting. Refunds for convention
funds have been processed and donations will go to the
general fund or the 100th Anniversary Fund. Calcutta
and the Walk Fundraising efforts will continue. There
will be a yearbook created with the photos sent in to PI.
The Pilot Store has moved from PI to the retail outlets
directly. There is no mark up of prices and items will be
shipped directly from the vendor. The website still
needs work and the review of manuals and documents ,
district and club manuals have been approved. The
headquarters staff consists of 5 people. They are work-
ing from home. During these difficult times, you have
checked on each other and it didn’t matter that the world
changed. We did the service and friendship that we do
because we are Pilots. You responded to the call to wear
a Pilot shirt on Saturday. (Many personal thank you
messages were expressed.) It has been a year and an
honor and privilege to serve and steer this organization.
You, the members are the
reason we have 100 years.
Thank you.

Plans for the Pilot Club of Naples In-
stallation of Officers are delayed as a
result of the Covid-19 health issues.
This is always a very special event and
we hope that we will find a way to
schedule it soon. Should you have
any suggestions, please make them
known.

Not much going on in
Naples, but if you have a
chance to run over to
Celebration Park, I can
guarantee you will be very pleased with Cousins Lobster
Lobster Roll, Clam Chowder or Lobster Bisque (just to name a few).
We miss our Pilot Share Nights at Culvers.
Jodi Walborn donated 10 cases (approximately
250) of bike helmets to the Pilot Club of Naples
when she cleared out her storage unit. This is
really huge and we are grateful that she called
to offer these wonderful helmets to us for our hel-
met fitting projects. Jodi has been a friend of the
Pilot Club of Naples with bike rodeo and safety fairs, helmet fitting certifica-
tion opportunities for the Anchor Club, the Scholarship House residents
and our own members. A sincere THANK YOU to Jodi from the Pilot Club
of Naples.
