Overview
The NetCom+ 111 is an industrialstrength networkbased serial device server for connecting oneRS232 device like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner and others directly to a network runningTCP/IP. The driver for Windows operating system installs a Virtual Com Port. The network isGigabit Ethernet or optionally wireless by WLAN 802.11b/g/n.
Implemented in the NetCom+ Servers is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Accessand Monitoring over Internet. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access, without anyreconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCom+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the serial port is not occupied by local access, also Virtual Com Port operation ispossible from remote.
The NetCom+ Servers use a stateofthe art RISC processor for low power and cost effectivedesign. The 1 and 2 port models are very similar, including the case size. Power supply is via DCadapter. The serial port enables data rates of up to 1000kbps. The port also allows every nonstandardbitrate up to 150kbps, and many above that (e.g. 1Mbps). See the FAQ. The USB 2.0 port supports USBCOM Plus modules, to add more nonisolated and also isolatedserial ports. The USB port may also connect external WLAN.
NetCom+ can be configured over Driver Panels, WEB Browser, serial Port, Telnet, SNMP andserves as a transparent serial channel without platform and distance limitation. As modern devices the NetCom+ provide encryption for all communication. Application

Overview
The NetCom+ 123 WLAN is an industrialstrength networkbased serial device server for connectingone RS232 device (or RS485 communication line) like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner andothers directly to a network running TCP/IP. The driver for Windows operating system installs aVirtual Com Port. The network is Gigabit Ethernet or wireless by WLAN 802.11b/g/n.
Implemented in the NetCom+ Servers is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Accessand Monitoring over Internet. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access, without anyreconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCom+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the serial port is not occupied by local access, also Virtual Com Port operation ispossible from remote.
The NetCom+ Servers use a stateofthe art RISC processor for low power and cost effectivedesign. The 1 and 2 port models are very similar, including the case size. Power supply is via DCadapter. The serial ports enable data rates of up to 3.7Mbps in RS422/485 or 1000kbps in RS232 modes.The ports also allow every nonstandard bitrate up to 150kbps, and many above that (e.g. 1Mbps).See the FAQ. The USB 2.0 port supports USBCOM Plus modules, to add more nonisolated and also isolatedserial ports.
NetCom+ can be configured over Driver Panels, WEB Browser, serial Port, Telnet, SNMP andserves as a transparent serial channel without platform and distance limitation. As modern devices the NetCom+ provide encryption for all communication. Application

Overview
The NetCom+ 411 is an industrialstrength networkbased serial device server for connecting fourRS232 devices like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner and others directly to a network runningTCP/IP. The driver for Windows operating system installs Virtual Com Ports. The network is GigabitEthernet or optionally wireless by WLAN 802.11b/g/n, another option is Power over Ethernet.
Implemented in the NetCom+ Servers is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Accessand Monitoring over Internet. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access, without anyreconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCom+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the serial port is not occupied by local access, also Virtual Com Port operation ispossible from remote.
The NetCom+ Servers use a stateofthe art RISC processor for low power and cost effectivedesign. The 4 and 8 port models are very similar, including the case size. Power supply is via DCadapter, or optionally via Ethernet cable with POE IEEE 802.3af. The serial ports enable data rates of up to 1000kbps. The ports allow every nonstandard bitrate
up to 1Mbps. See the FAQ. The USB 2.0 port supports USBCOM Plus modules, to add more nonisolated and also isolatedserial ports. The USB port may also connect external WLAN.
NetCom+ can be configured over Driver Panels, WEB Browser, serial Port, Telnet, SNMP andserves as a transparent serial channel without platform and distance limitation. As modern devices the NetCom+ provide encryption for all communication. Application

Overview
The NetCom+ 413 is an industrialstrength networkbased serial device server for connecting fourRS232 devices (or RS485 communication lines) like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner and othersdirectly to a network running TCP/IP. The driver for Windows operating system installs Virtual ComPorts. The network is Gigabit Ethernet or optionally wireless by WLAN 802.11b/g/n, another optionis Power over Ethernet.
Implemented in the NetCom+ Servers is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Accessand Monitoring over Internet. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access, without anyreconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCom+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the serial port is not occupied by local access, also Virtual Com Port operation ispossible from remote.
The NetCom+ Servers use a stateofthe art RISC processor for low power and cost effectivedesign. The 4 and 8 port models are very similar, including the case size. Power supply is via DCadapter, or optionally via Ethernet cable with POE IEEE 802.3af. The serial ports enable data rates of up to 12Mbps in RS422/485 or 1000kbps in RS232 modes. Theports also allow every nonstandard bitrate up to 3.5Mbps, and many above that (e.g. 1Mbps). Seethe FAQ. The USB 2.0 port supports USBCOM Plus modules, to add more nonisolated and also isolatedserial ports. The USB port may also connect external WLAN.
NetCom+ can be configured over Driver Panels, WEB Browser, serial Port, Telnet, SNMP andserves as a transparent serial channel without platform and distance limitation. As modern devices the NetCom+ provide encryption for all communication. Application

Overview
The NetCom+ 813 is an industrialstrength networkbased serial device server for connecting eightRS232 devices (or RS485 communication lines) like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner and othersdirectly to a network running TCP/IP. The driver for Windows operating system installs Virtual ComPorts. The network is Gigabit Ethernet or optionally wireless by WLAN 802.11b/g/n, another optionis Power over Ethernet.
Implemented in the NetCom+ Servers is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Accessand Monitoring over Internet. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access, without anyreconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCom+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the serial port is not occupied by local access, also Virtual Com Port operation ispossible from remote.
The NetCom+ Servers use a stateofthe art RISC processor for low power and cost effective
design. The 4 and 8 port models are very similar, including the case size. Power supply is via DCadapter, or optionally via Ethernet cable with POE IEEE 802.3af. The serial ports enable data rates of up to 12Mbps in RS422/485 or 1000kbps in RS232 modes. Theports also allow every nonstandard bitrate up to 3.5Mbps, and many above that (e.g. 4Mbps). Seethe FAQ. The USB 2.0 port supports USBCOM Plus modules, to add more nonisolated and also isolatedserial ports. The USB port may also connect external WLAN.
NetCom+ can be configured over Driver Panels, WEB Browser, serial Port, Telnet, SNMP andserves as a transparent serial channel without platform and distance limitation. As modern devices the NetCom+ provide encryption for all communication. Application

The NetCom+ 1613 actually is a combination of NetCom Plus 813 with USB8COM Plus, mounted asa pair via a special Rack Mount kit. The NetCom Plus integrates the serial ports from the USB8COM Plus into the services for the internal port. Both devices are connected via one USB cable, inessence the pair operates as one NetCom Plus with 16 simultaneous serial ports. Overview
The NetUSB-400i is a USB Device Server for Ethernet operating TCP/IP. Install the NetUSB in your LAN, and get four new USB 2.0 ports. These ports are available for all computers on the network, you share the devices connected to the USB ports. The ports are capable of USB 2.0 High Speed. The Manager Application for Windows XP and Vista adds the ports to the Device Manager, similar to the built-in ports. Attached devices function as usual.
The obvious use of NetUSB is sharing printers via the network. The Manager Application provides such a configuration for the NetUSB. The port with an attached printer is shared by several computers. When one PC is actually printing, the ports in the other PC are put on hold. Application software on these PC does not recognize that state, it simply sends the data to the printer port. As soon as the first PC finishes the print job, the port becomes available to other computers. The next one gets access, and simply sends the data to the printer. All this integrates seamlessly to the printing system, without noticed by the user. Of course also one computer can control up to four printers, located remote from the user.
Other types of devices are shared in turns. All computers may use the attached devices, like memory sticks, keyboard, scanner, external hard drives and so on. Even USB adapters for serial ports or Wireless LAN have been installed this way, though there are specialized devices better suited for the typical requirements of such operation.
The wide-range power supply accepts 9-30V DC, this power is connected to a Terminal Block. Suitable power sources are often available in industrial racks, replacing the wall plug adapter shipped with NetUSB-400i. The power supply provides up to 500mA per USB port. The metal case is for protection against mechanical stress. It has an option for wall mounting or adding DIN Rail clips.

Overview
The VScom NetCAN+ 110 is an easy to use gateway from Ethernet to CANBus, based on state ofthe art RISC components. It provides CANBUS communication over Ethernet and WLAN, andallows completely secured communication for both data transfer and configuration to the attachedCAN devices. CAN BUS is widely used in industrial applications as well as in automotive monitoring and control.The VScom NetCAN+ can be used to monitor the data traffic as well as sending control information.
Implemented in the NetCAN+ is an option to use the viaVPN system for Remote Access andMonitoring. viaVPN provides secure and strong encrypted access via Internet, without any reconfiguration of firewalls. Once installed in the local network the NetCAN+ are used exactly aswithout the option viaVPN. But at the same time the operation can be monitored from remotelocations. If the CAN port is not occupied by local access, also operation from remote is possible.
NetCAN+ supports three operating modes: TCP Raw Server, CAN Bridge and Driver Mode. With TCPRaw Server the communication is handled directly via IP address and port number. The CAN Bridgeconnects two NetCAN+ devices to tunnel CAN data via Ethernet/WLAN. The Driver Mode requiresthe installation of a virtual comport driver, which makes the network fully transparent for theapplication. NetCAN+ provides various software tools to interface the user application: • The ASCII conversion protocol is useful in developing and testing any CANBUS configuration.
Users just connect directly via Telnet, and have a simple way to talk to the CAN controller. It canalso be used to manually transmit and receive CAN frames. • Applications programmed by users should use the VScan API library (DLL), which transparentlyhandles the ASCII conversion for the CAN frames. Programmers have to handle only the CANframes and status information, they do not have to care more about the ASCII conversion in theirapplications. This API is supported in C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Delphi and LabVIEW.• In Linux SocketCAN can be used as alternative to vs_can_api library. VScom CAN devices supportstandard Serial Line CAN (slcan) driver (see this FAQ).• The NetCAN+ also supports CANFestival, an Open Source CANopen Framework. CANopen is aCANbased higher layer protocol that is used in various application fields, such as medicalequipment, offroad vehicles, maritime electronics, railway applications or building automation.CANopen unburdens the developer from dealing with CANspecific details such as bittiming andimplementationspecific functions. It provides standardized communication objects for realtimedata, configuration data as well as network management data. • CANHacker, a tool for analyzing and transmitting frames on the CAN BUS, is included in theproduct package. This requires the Driver Mode. • A set of Mapper DLLs simulates CAN hardware from other manufacturers. Users configure theirsystem for those products or the NetCAN+ 110 adapter as a replacement. USB-CAN Plus is an USB to CAN Bus 2.0A/B adapter. Higher layer protocols, such as CANopen, canbe assembled using the available development tools for complex automation control applications. Usage OptionsUSB-CAN Plus provides various software tools to interface each level of user applications:
The ASCII conversion protocol is handy for developing and testing any CAN-BUS configuration. Users simply connect using the virtual COM port, settingup a straightforward way to talk to the CAN controller. The device can also beused to manually transmit and receive CAN frames.Applications programmed by users should use the VScan API library (DLL),which handles the communication and ASCII conversion for the CAN framesin a transparent manner. In their applications, programmers have to handleonly the CAN frames and status information, without taking care of the ASCIIconversion. The VScan API is supported in C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Delphi andLabVIEW. Under Linux SocketCAN can be used as alternative to the VScanAPI. All VScom CAN devices support the standard Serial Line CAN (slcan)
driver.The USB-CAN Plus series also supports CANFestival, an Open SourceCANopen Framework. CANopen is a CAN-based higher layer protocol that isused in various application areas to unburden the developer from dealingwith CAN-specific details. CANopen provides standardised communicationobjects for real-time data, configuration data, as well as networkmanagement data.The SAE J1939 protocol, resting upon the CAN hardware layer, is commonlyused in the commercial vehicle area. A lot of other modern protocols arebased on it, like NME200, ISOBUS, MilCAN or FMS. VScom's J1939 API alsoincludes support for the so called Transport Protocol, which will bypass thelimit of 8 data bytes per message. It's available on J1939-enabled devices.Supports Windows, Linux, .NET
ESD protection and electrical IsolationFor usage in hazardous industrial environments, the CAN-Bus interface and USB port are ±16kV (air)and ±8kV (contact) ESD surge protected. The modern USBCOM Plus Mini adapter connects one RS232 or RS422/485 deviceto your PC by a USB 2.0 Full Speed port. The serial port and USB are ESDprotected, compliant to IEC 6100042 (8kV contact/16kV air discharges).
The serial port supports RS232, RS422 and RS485 in Full/HalfDuplex operationmode. The operation mode of the serial port is easy configured by one DIP switch.The configuration also activates builtin RS485 termination if required, no jumpersneeded. Standard Drivers are available for all major operating systems. The USB 2.0 FullSpeed enables serial data rates of up to 3Mbps in RS422/485 or1000kbps in RS232 modes. The device also allows every nonstandard bitrate upto 960 kbps. The USBCOM Plus Mini is an alternative to the VScom USBCOMiM.

Overview
The modern USB2COM Plus ISO adapter connects 2 x RS232 or RS422/485devices to your PC by a USB 2.0 Full Speed port. The serial ports are individuallyisolated for 2.5kV. The serial ports and USB are ESD protected, compliant to IEC6100042 (8kV contact/16kV air discharges).
All serial ports support RS232, RS422 and RS485 in Full/HalfDuplex operationmode. The operation modes of the serial ports are easy configured by one DIPswitch for each port. The configuration also activates builtin RS485 termination ifrequired, no jumpers needed. Standard Drivers are available for all majoroperating systems. The USB 2.0 FullSpeed enables serial data rates of up to 3Mbps in RS422/485 or1000kbps in RS232 modes. The device also allows every nonstandard bitrate upto 960 kbps.
All USBCOM Plus devices can be used to expand the serial ports for NetCom PlusDevice Servers. USB Interface

Overview
The modern USB8COM Plus ISO adapter connects 8 x RS232 or RS422/485devices to your PC by one USB 2.0 High Speed port. The serial ports areindividually isolated for 2.5kV. The serial ports, USB and the power supply areESD protected, compliant to IEC 6100042 (8kV contact/16kV air discharges).USB8COM Plus ISO operates selfpowered by an external DCin connector for widerange voltage.
All serial ports support RS232, RS422 and RS485 in Full/HalfDuplex operationmodes. The operation modes of the serial ports are either configured by a singleDIP switch common for all ports, or for each port individually by software. Theconfiguration also activates builtin RS485 termination if required, no jumpersneeded. Standard Drivers are available for all major operating systems. The USB 2.0 HighSpeed enables serial data rates of up to 12Mbps in RS422/485or 1000kbps in RS232 modes. The device also allows every nonstandard bitrateup to 3.5Mbps.
A USBout (type A) connector at the rear side allows easy expansion of serialports by simple concatenation of further USBCOM Plus modules; we call it "USBThrough" feature. All USBCOM Plus devices can be used to expand the serialports for NetCom Plus Device Servers. USB Interface

Overview
The USB16COM Plus actually is a combination of two USB8COM Plus, mountedas a pair via a special Rack Mount kit. Both devices are connected via one USBcable, in essence the pair operates as one USBCOM Plus with 16 simultaneousserial ports. As the separate modules the USB16COM Plus adapter connects 16 x RS232 orRS422/485 devices to your PC by one USB 2.0 High Speed port. The serial ports,USB and the power supply are ESD protected, compliant to IEC 6100042 (8kVcontact/16kV air discharges). USB8COM Plus may work in buspowered mode onstronger than minimum ports, but a DCin connector for external wide rangevoltage is provided.
