Everyday Duties

• Install, Configure, Support a LAN or WAN• Maintain network hardware and software• Plan, Coordinate, and Implement network

security measures

Installing, Configuring, Supporting

• Adding users to the network• Adding computers and other hardware to

the network• Caring for the network

Maintaining Hardware & Software

• Fixing all devices that have failed• Updating the software

Security Measures

• Creating firewalls• Sending out antivirus software• Password protection

Education Needed

• A four year Bachelors Degree• Several years work experience is needed• Some on the job training

Starting Salary

• $63,700 a year• $30.63 an hour

Best Part of The Job

What I would like the best would be solving all of the problems that occur.

Interesting Fact

• Working with a long list of tools for doing very detailed jobs such as crimping wires and replacing key components of networking devices.
