The NOMID Alliance is a tax-exempt non-profit organization formed by US CAPS patients and parents
in January of 2006. • We help people worldwide with autoinflammatory diseases to find needed care & treatment, and are
working on increasing CAPS awareness.
INCREASING AWARENESS CAN LEAD TO EARLIER DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT THAT
CAN GREATLY IMPROVE PATIENT’S LIVES
• 2008: CAPS guidebook was first distributed to doctors, hospitals, and patients worldwide.
• Many patients have found our website, plus the CAPS guidebook PDF and call us for information.
• Patients take the guide to their doctors, then get diagnosed and onto medications for CAPS.
• Some new patients have suffered for decades undiagnosed, but many are infant diagnoses.
• Early diagnosis & treatment = better prognosis.
