Our Mission We bring an invaluable educational program to females.
Beautiful Me provides the necessary foundation for future success! Self-esteem increases by improving coping mechanisms,
increasing insight, and building relationship skills.
Our ApproachWe reach out to communities through our unique self-esteem curriculum which teaches, unites, and empowers the participants to live with confidence.
Our ImpactWe affect change directly with each participant during group
workshops/seminars and affect change indirectly in their home and community environments by empowering females to share
the learned skills with other people in their lives.
She will identify when she feels the most strong,
capable, and beautiful!
She will identify at least one body part she can care
for, admire, and regard with positive thoughts.
She will learn how to make rules for herself & enforce
those rules about her body, health, and safety.
She will identify the pleasant and unpleasant
parts of herself, while learning to “own” those
personality traits. She will tell others how she views herself.
She will practice physical, emotional, and mental
self-care.
We know that when a female (of any age) feels strongand confident, society as a whole benefits.
She will connect to the good in herself by
recognizing the good in others! She will practice
giving and receiving compliments.
Thank you for giving females the opportunityto participate in Beautiful Me!
Dear Supporters:
We are Jackie and Warren Hance, parents of Emma, Alyson, and Katie, who died tragically in a car accident on the Taconic State Parkway in New York State on July 26, 2009. Since losing our daughters, we formed the Hance Family Foundation, whose mission is so vital to us no single word can describe it: to honor the lives of our three beautiful girls by sharing our innovative self-esteem educational programming. We have chosen to focus on how our daughters lived, rather than how they died.
Beautiful Me...the Emma, Alyson, and Katie Hance Project is our nationally-known platform for females of all ages. We have a proven track record of improving self-esteem for participants. Beautiful Me teaches females how to think positively and with assurance about their bodies, their skills, and their relationships with others.
Beautiful Me poses no financial hardship to any participant. Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, we are able to provide our program free of charge. We have taught Beautiful Me to tens of thousands of participants so far, and this number grows daily. We teach in both public and private schools, community sites, colleges, universities, hospitals, and private companies all across the country. The school-based program is typically taught in three (3) one-hour sessions, over the course of three (3) weeks. Our community-based program can be delivered in one (1) extended two-hour session.
Our wish is to work together to expand our reach throughout the United States. Research states that a person with a healthy self-esteem is more resilient, is able to tackle new and greater challenges, and accepts responsibility for her own thoughts and actions. These traits make women better friends, better daughters, better colleagues and better for themselves.
Beautiful Me is not a self-help program. It is curriculum-based and has three tenets that improve self-esteem: to teach females to understand who they are, to teach females to appreciate their own skills and qualities, and to teach females to understand that there is gratification earned by helping others.
Each female has the power to embrace her talents, aspirations, capabilities, and potential; with guidance, she can use these skills to achieve a better tomorrow for herself and her community. We want to help her hone these skills and be an integral part of her growth. We invite you to join our Beautiful Me community! Together, we are beautiful!
Thank you for your commitment to this critical issue. We look forward to hearing from you!
With gratitude, Jackie Hance Warren Hance
