Pleasant Run Families, Our 3rd and 4th graders did a tremendous job on ISTEP this week. It was great to see them show their Excellence while taking their test. We will take the second part of ISTEP when we return after Spring Break. This is the time of year when we need our students to really focus and do their best each day in school. Please talk with your child about what they are learning in school and the different activities they are doing in class. We are all ready for warm sunny weather so we can get outside for recess. Have a great weekend, Mr. Anderson

LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA
SOCIETY-”PENNIES FOR
PATIENTS”
Your child has the power to make a
positive impact on the lives of
blood cancer patients! Pleasant
Run will join 600 others across
Indiana in a program that will be
instrumental in raising funds for
lifesaving cancer research.
They will be taking part in the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s
Pennies for Patients Program.
During their school’s campaign,
students collect spare change to
support LLS’s mission; to cure
leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s
disease and myeloma and to
improve the quality of life for
patients and their families.
Your child should have received his
or her own box for collecting spare
change around the house. Judging
by past programs, they will be
proud to fill the box with change to
spare! Boxes due back 3/18
Thanks for your help!!!
Please remember that shorts are NOT
allowed until after Spring Break!!
Our uniform policy is black, khaki and
navy pants and any solid color shirt with a
collar.

Do you have a child starting Kindergarten in 2016?
Would you like for your child to learn how to speak, read, and write
fluently in both ENGLISH and SPANISH?
In the 2016 – 2017 school year, Pleasant Run Elementary is starting a Dual Language Immersion Program in Kindergarten. Students
in this program will learn school subjects through both English and Spanish. The goal will be to develop academic and social skills in
two languages.
If you would like more information about this program, please complete and return the bottom portion of this flyer to your school.
The school will contact you about an informational parent meeting coming up soon.
