their current students Meet federal requirements of the No

Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act

8

OEAA Enhancements Options districts may select to help in

the assignment of grade 3 through 8 students to the correct schools and grades for fall 2005 MEAP and MI-Access Pre-ID

Several enhancements to the OEAA secure system to aid in the movement and assignment of students

9

Options for Pre-ID Option A – Districts use their own system to

assign students to expected schools and grade levels for fall 2005, then load a data file into the OEAA secure system

Option B – Districts access spring 2005 SRSD and use the OEAA secure system to move students into expected schools and grade levels for fall 2005

10

Options for Pre-ID Option C – The State will load student Pre-

ID into schools and grades based on a comparison of a District’s end-of-year 2004 and fall 2004 SRSD submissions. Then the District uses the OEAA secure system to move students as needed. This option is only available in cases where OEAA data specialists have been able to identify projected destination schools.
