Multiple-causes are often combined what creates more difficulties to make accurate assessments of production.

RESOURCE

ENERGY RESOURCE is the variable impacting most on the plant production. Solar and Wind potential can vary significantly on daily, monthly and even yearly basis. Precise characterization is key to be able to categorize losses accurately.

UL uses a weighted combination of the Wind and Solar Indexes (percentage deviation on average wind speed or irradiation to long term values) and adjusted local measurements using UL scripts to correlate and characterize the Resource Anomaly.

AVAILABILITY

One example: is the AVAILABILITY of your plant properly calculated? Is the reference well applied (IEC, contract, time/energy, etc)?

EFFICIENCY

EFFICIENCY has an enormous impact on production. The guaranteed levels are only achieved under certain circumstances and proper data meaning is essential to determine the real efficiency and deviation causes.

The use of an accurately adjusted Wind Speed Reference is key to use wind speed readings in a reliable way.

ACCURATE IDENTIFICATION OF THE CAUSES

The WATERFALLfunctionality is RAMP star feature. It present the Industry most accurate categorization of gain/losses. This functionality is key for our clients to determine all actionable measures to optimize production.
