10. Black Codes: Laws passed in southern states to limit a Blacks’ freedom & keep them as landless workers.

11. KKK: First formed in 1865 to scare Blacks from voting

22. 14th Amendment: Gives citizenship. Outlaws states from passing laws to take away citizen rights

23. 15th Amendment: Gives right to vote to all citizens.
