is Debbie Waldheim

What does A Glass House Look Like???

A Glass House Means:• Everyone can see in!• Everyone knows your business!• There is no where to hide!• What do you reveal verses what do

you not reveal?• You have learned to be very, very,

very careful!• Is there a better way?

Let’s engage in 3 topics today that will hopefully help with the Glass House Effect!

• Do we see the “real” you???• Wisdom to know when to be “open”

and when to stay “closed.”• When our children make our family

shortcomings very visible….Yikes!!

Let’s Talk About You• Who are you?• Have you changed much since

marrying a minister?• Have you had to remold yourself into

a different type of woman to fit the Minister’s Wife Role?

• Who do you hide from or become someone different when they are around?

Quiz Time

During this time period we will be answering several questions to bring out who we were created to be.

Who Are You???

Who Are You???

Who Are You???• "Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I chose

you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work." Jeremiah 1:5a (NCV)

• "‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’" Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

• Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (NASB)

Who Are You???• The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my

good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’" Matthew 25:21 (NLT)

• For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Wisdom• How do we know when to be transparent and

when to close the curtains?• All wisdom comes to us if we ask for it. • What do we need to know?• Until now you have asked

nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

• If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5

The Children……

Children• YOUR CHILDREN WILL NOT BE

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!• There are no perfect children!• They are all sinners just like we are!• In fact, they are probably sinners a lot

like you were (still are???)!• Comparing and trying to live up to

some unattainable standard will kill you and cause them great suffering.

Children• There is no one perfect way to raise a

child.• They are here on Earth for you to love

them, show them the way to Jesus, show them how to walk with Jesus, and get them ready to go out into the World with Jesus!

• They are not here to be a good reflection of you and your husband!!

Children• Remember that God has delivered you

from a spirit of fear. Pray for them, love them, and pray some more for them…and yourselves!

• He gave those children especially to you! He chose you because He loved you and He loves them!

• Live, laugh, and love with your children, not just exist, survive, and hope for the best.

A Glass House…• Let’s keep the windows clean! Lot’s of

Windex needed for that one • Close the curtains when wisdom dictates.• Love yourself and your children!• Be yourself! No one else can do you like

you!! You were made for this!• Remember that He who began a good

work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ!
