Lee, Kwang Hi****
The purpose of the present study is to examine the causal relationship and invest the
difference among self-efficacy, parental support, school belonging, school satisfaction and
achievement in the high school education by school type. For this study, 444 students at High
school in Korea completed surveys in the fall semester of 2012(222 students: prestigious private
school, 222 students: specialized vocational school). The result of this study, First, self-efficacy,
parental support, school belonging affect school satisfaction. Second, Self-efficacy affect
achievement. Third, According to latent means analysis, Specialized vocational school students
shows significantly lower latent mean values than prestigious private school students on two
factors(self-efficacy, school satisfaction). In the case of specialized vocational school students
self-efficacy highly affected achievement. Based on these results, this study suggests instructional
design methods and management strategies to improve the quality of learning in prestigious
private school and specialized vocational school.
Key words: Self-efficiency, School belonging, Parental support, School satisfaction, Achievement
