Salawat from the Litanies of The GrandestSheikh Mohyeddin Ibn Araby

There is no God save You, O One, O Eternal and Absolute. There is no God save You.Existence is by You, and for You is prostration, and You are The Worshiped Truth. OLord, I seek refuge with You from me, and I beseech You that I am freed of me.

Towards what I prayed for, I beseech and beg You by the forefront of existence, thecomplete light, the soul of life, the eternal mercy, and the sublime character; Theinitial messenger in spirit and grace, the concluding messenger in form and time; whois the light by his guidance and notification, and the mercy by knowledge andempowerment: Mohammed the chosen, the selected messenger, the accepted friend,and the model prophet. The Lord sent payers upon him and his family andcompanions and sent abundant peace and greetings till judgment day, and Praise andGratitude be to Allah, The Lord of All Worlds.

O Lord, please conceal and seclude me from all Your creatures, and unite me withYou by Your right, and save me by witnessing the execution of Your orders in theworlds of Your sovereignty.

O Lord, by You I begged, and to You I directed myself, and You I asked, and for onlyYou I wanted. I beg You for nothing but You, and I only request You from You.

O Lord, and I appeal to You by the greatest means, and the grandest virtue, and theclosest loved one, and the supported ally, Mohammed the chosen, the acceptedfriend, the selected prophet, Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam.

And by him I beg you to send upon him an eternal, everlasting, self existing, Godly,Lordly prayer; so that You show me the essence of his true perfection, and consumeme in the essence of his true knowledge. And similarly upon his family andcompanions, for of this You are able. And there is no help or power save with Allah,The All High, The Mighty, and Praise and gratitude be to Allah, The Lord of all worlds.
