Seven year old Sara (name and photo changed toprotect her identity) lost her mother and baby brotherin a landslide several years ago. They live in one of the slum communities of Guatemala City where wework. The four remaining siblings were dividedbetween the father and their aunt (sister of thedeceased mother). Several years later, one of the girlsbegan to share of the sexual abuse she experienced from her father while living with him. When this information was reported to our team, we took immediate action and had her, along with the two sisters that were living with the father, checked at a local medical clinic. After two days in government facilities until 1am in the morning, two days in a row, (andmany more details in between) we were able to assist the child protection services of Guatemala in rescuing her two sisters from the father. They are currently living with theiraunt in a very poor, confined area but they are safe. Please pray for Sara, her sisters, heraunt as well as our team as we begin the road to healing for these precious little girls.

Another exciting announcement that Chad has been working on is a recent merger of another like-minded ministry called At Risk No More. ARNM’s passionate staff is dedicatedto serving, loving and rescuing the forgotten street children and youth of Guatemala. AMGhas decided to rename the Child Protection and Restoration Department that Chad is theDirector of to At Risk No More. Chad is now responsible for 10 people focusing on5
initiatives related to at risk children: streetchildren, networking with local churches andlike-minded organizations, discipling at-risk youth, protection and restoration and church-based foster care. Please pray for energy, strength and joy in Hispresence as decisions are being made andextra time is spent coordinating the details. For More Info, Visit: www.atrisknomore.org and AMG Guatemala’s new website!www.amgg.org

FAMILY UPDATEThis year, Emmet is in 3rd grade, Arianna in 2nd and Aleia in kindergarten. We really feltwe needed the social outlet of the Christian school here in the city, so we moved closer tothe school and I'm (Marlana) a teacher's aide (pictured below) 3 mornings a week tosubsidize some of the kids’ tuition. It's been a great decision for all of us! I get to helpanother missionary's daughter who is adopted from here and has special needs. She is abeautiful little lady and I already know God is teaching me so much through her and ourrelationship. I felt so isolated our first few years here, so I'm grateful for the community allof us have now that we are involved at the school.
1 John 3:16-18 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for thebrothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how
does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
