SurvivalIn order for animals to

survive, like the gecko, they have certain features.

The gecko has webbed, sticky feet in order to climb

Eyelids in order to keep the sand out of their eyes.

The skin is very durable, which provides protection from the rough sand and rocky terrain of the desert.

They can detach their tails if ever attacked.

VariationIn order for animals to adapt to their

environment, they need to be born with certain features.

Over generations, the DNA within different species changes in order for the animals to survive in their environment.
