IBC Charts the Connected World
IBC’s Connected World, situated in Hall 14, will examine the enormous changes being experienced by the whole industry as a consequence of developments in the fields of mobile and IPTV.
Connected World will bring together the latest developments in online, mobile TV, 3G, 4G, and OTT services; second screen applications; and IP technologies. Exhibit stands are combined with a programme of demonstrations and debates
that seek to explain and understand the newly evolving models of creation, management, and delivery of content that are emerging in an increasingly 24/7 connected world.
The Demonstration Area will host a programme of technology and product demonstrations, with topics including apps and software solutions, IPTV/OTT solutions: the connected home and smart devices, video streaming and multimedia networks, and cloud platforms. In addition, Connected Consumer Debates will explore hot topics including the state of the internet, the emerging market opportunity of the connected world, building engagement into programme formats, and content management in the cloud.
This year, IBC’s main conference is organised into four streams: Content Creation and Innovation, Advances in Technology, The Business of Broadcasting and Media, and Industry Insights.
