INTO THE MOUNTAINS
Getting power across any landscape is a big challenge, but imagine building
lines through the mountains of the Kanawha Valley in West Virginia. In fact,
some of the existing lines have structures that were built almost a century
ago. In definite need of an upgrade, Appalachian Power is undertaking a
massive venture headed by Senior Transmission Construction Representative
Tim Clemons. His team of 100 people are spending six days a week for two
years upgrading the system with new structures to help ensure
reliability for customers for the next century. It goes to
show no matter how huge the task, our employees
are prepared to take it on. We may be a power
company, but the true power in our communities
comes from our people.

50th Anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. Winston HudsonMr. & Mrs. Winston Hudson celebrated their
