FORDTERRITORYSYSERIES2NEWBALLJOINTINFORMATIONThefaceliftedandupgradedTerritorySYseriesIIincorporatesanewfrontendlayoutbasedontheoriginalSLALS/VirtualpivotdesignoftheoriginalTerritory.Oneofthemostnoticeableandwelcomedchangesistherepositioningoftheloadcarryinglowerballjointoftherearlowerarm.Theoriginalballjointwasincorporatedintothelowerarmandattachedtothesteeringknuckleinapullapartsituationwhichmeantallofthevehicleweightwasconstantlytryingtopulltheballjointoutofitssocket.Thenewdesignhasmovedwhatappearstobealargerandmorerobustballjointtothesteeringknuckleitselfanditthenhasthestudfittedthroughataperholeinthelowerarminapushtogetherscenario.Thenetresultofthisisthatthevehiclesweightisnowconstantlypushingtheballjointintoitssocketandcarryingmostoftheloadacrossthebottomhemisphereoftheballbelowthestud.Thissharestheloadoveralargersurfaceareaandshouldnoticeablyimprovedurabilityofthishighloadcomponent.Thenewdesignisabigstepforwardinmakinganalreadygreatvehicleevenbetter.
