PRAYER TO THE HOLY TRINITY FOR THE PREPARATION OF MASS Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, come to us and renew us as we gather to celebrate this Sunday Mass. As we continue our pilgrimage of life, help us to become better Christians
on earth so that we may rejoice with you for ever in Heaven. To the Holy Trinity be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
A message from Fr Prem~On Tuesday we will celebrate the ‘Solemnity of the All Saints’, those who
have won the ‘Halo’, the company of the saints of God. Like you we all can be surprised as to how this
solemnity is now taken hostage to mean a worldly, pagan pageantry like festival second to Christmas and
Easter. In the oriental culture this day is more a day where those who could not be saints go rampant, a
party and a celebration of their own! It seems today ‘Halloween’ is more a very commercial, celebration
and party - anything but saintly!! However it has become now an attraction and an entertainment for our
children. But let us not forget to celebrate with them that they too are called to be saints, nothing short of
it. Let us also remind ourselves that the sainthood is not impossible, but it is our destiny, we are called to
and duty bound to, unless we choose to do otherwise. The beauty of this is that we can choose!
All saints day also commemorates the saints that are unknown to us and so to the church. So the
church in solemnity celebrates this celestial company known and unknown, but who are eternally in the
presence of God, reaching the fullness of our human existence. Those saints have walked the paths we
walk and stand as a proof that it is more a possibility than an impossibility. We all agree, have we not
met, saintly like people, I am sure we have, and indeed very blessed to have such men and women among
us, without which this life here on earth would be a hell.
It is the month of November and so we remember the saints, and also the departed starting on the
2nd, the ‘All Souls’ day. I shall stop the all souls envelops as they are very confusing to you and to me too.
So please do write the names of your loved ones you may want to remember and pray with the whole
church in the ‘Remembrance Book’. If you wish to make an offering to your priest in remembrance of
your loved ones, please do put it in an envelop and pass it on to me. You do not have to! I shall remember
and pray for them at the masses we celebrate in during the month of November. I shall also, as always
the church does, shall pray for those who have no one to pray, knowing that it will be me, one day too!!
‘Lord, you are merciful to all because you love all that exists, hold nothing in abhorrence’
says in the first reading for this Sunday ~ enjoy it all!

GLEBE HOUSE SERVICES WITH CHURCHES TOGETHER - A meeting is being arranged for a review of the Glebe House services on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 12th at10am. This will be held at the Methodist Church/ Hall and there will be refresh-ments through the morning as it is our regular coffee morning. At this present time, all Churches are on a monthly rota to bring a 30min. service to the resi-dents and visitors. This is an important outreach to those who are unable to get to church to worship on a regular basis. Please give this prayerful thought as we know not everyone is called to lead, but to help and sit with is so important. They do love to sing hymns and so we are asking for all who can play an instrument of any description would be very wel-come. We are hoping to start afresh in the New Year on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 3pm. If you are able to help but can't attend the meeting please ring Marilyn King on OX 376700. Thank you.
