Staying Connected
Stay home. Stop the spread. Save lives.
As you know, we have had to put restrictions on receiving visitors
due to the COVID-19 virus so until those restrictions are lifted, we
will be mailing our monthly newsletter tofsamily. For more
information regarding these restrictions, please visit our website at
www.sterling-village.com .
To our residents and families, I can’t thank you enough for your
cooperation and understanding during this unprecedented time.
To our amazing staff, there are no words that can express my
gratitude for your dedication, commitment and flexibility.
The safety, health and emotional and spiritual well being of
EVERYONE in this building is my top priority. We have made
changes to activities and programs so that our residents remain
socially connected and engaged. Our department heads are working
tirelessly to ensure that all staff are kept informed of the sometimes
daily changes to our policies and procedures as we receive new
information. Our unit staff continues to remain positive and upbeat
while providing the best possible patient care.
The showing of support for one another; residents, staff and families
alike, is a true testament to our sense of community. I am confident
in our ability to continue to provide for those in our care and am
looking forward to the day when we can open our doors again to
friends and family.
Respectfully,
Kimberly Archambault Executive Director

Charlie Chaplin was born to parents who were both music hall performers
in England, and young Chaplin made his stage debut at age five. He worked
in vaudeville until moving to California in 1913, where he brought his
physical comedy to the silver screen—making 35 movies in rapid
succession with Mack Sennett of Keystone Studios in a matter of years.
His output was almost as fast at other studios, and in 1919, he launched
United Artists with Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, and D.W. Griffith.
Chaplin's pacifist bent showed in his films, and drew the suspicion of J.
Edgar Hoover, who considered him a communist sympathizer.
Chaplin's offscreen activities got him in trouble, too. He lost a paternity
suit in 1944, despite that fact that a blood test showed he was not the father
of actress Joan Barry's child. The case led to a change in paternity laws,
and afterward, blood tests became admissible in court. Hoover got his wish
to rid America of Charlie Chaplin when the actor went to England for a
film premiere in 1952, and was denied a re-entry visa. Chaplin settled in
Switzerland with wife Oona O'Neill and children, and did not return to
America until 1972 to receive an Honorary Academy Award.
Happy Birthday

WHEN IS EASTER 2020?
This year, Easter will be observed on Sunday, April 12. (Eastern Orthodox Easter will take place the following Sunday, April 19.) Easter’s date is just five days after April’s full Moon (Tuesday, April 7), which is the first full Moon to occur after the spring equinox and is therefore known in the Christian calendar as the “Paschal Full Moon.”

What is Passover? A Jewish holiday that remembers the
exodus of the ancient Hebrew people from
Egypt. It is celebrated by having a meal

read scripture while drinking 4 glasses of
wine and eating foods that represent the

remembered on Passover
-Easter celebrates Jesus
Both have different lengths
