WELCOME TO FIRST BENTONThank you for worshiping with us at First Benton! If you are a first time guest, please stop by Guest Services located near theHomePointe Center in the Worship Center lobby before you leave. We have a gift for you and some helpful information about our church. Also, we would love to connect with you later in the week and ask that you fill out a Connection Card located in the pew rack. This We BelieveJames 1:17
This morning, we continue our study on what Baptists believe. Who is God? What do we believe about God? Baptists believe there is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the
universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes, but without division of
nature, essence or being. Baptists believe God always has been; He always will be. What are truths about God that will never change?
I. You can know that His ______________ will never change. “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jer. 31:3
“... nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God.” Romans 8:38
II. You can know that His ______________ will never change. “The grass withers and flowers fade, but the Word of our God shall stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8
* There is the temptation. “Did God really say...” Gen. 3:1
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24
III. You can know that His ______________ will never change. “The Lord Almighty has sworn, Surely as I have planned it, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.” Isaiah 14:24
“His plans endure forever; His purposes last eternally.” Psalm 33:11
Because God is God, to Him we owe the highest ______________________.

NEWS & CELEBRATIONSPRAY FOR SUMMER OUTREACH & MISSIONSThis week, we have a group of college students in Ecuador on a mission trip. Pray for this team as it serves children at an orphanage. Saturday, a group of Sr. High students will also leave for Ecuador to continue this work for another week.
BACK TO SCHOOL DONATIONSThe 15th Annual Back to School Picnic will be on August 5, 2017 and the Community Action Committee has requested that First Benton contribute 600 composition books (wide ruled - 9.75 in x 7.5 in) as we strive to pack around 1,000 backpacks for local children. Next time you go to the store, toss some composition notebooks in your cart and drop them off in one of the collection bins at the church. Contact galan.hughes@fbcbenton.org for more information.

SUMMER READINGSWhether you own a vast library, are a one-book-on-vacation reader, or simply like to hear what others are learning, we invite you to pick up a recommended summer reading list at HomePointe so that we can grow in wisdom together this summer.
