Course Fee $200

If a student is not yet competent the student may be required to be re-assessed, which will require a re-assessment fee of $200

Payment Payments can be made either by Eftpos, Cash or Direct Deposit. Once you have completed and submitted an Enrolment Form to our office, we will provide an invoice detailing all payment options.

Resources Provided All courseware and handouts

Bring to course Protective footwear, Lace up Safety Boots, Rail Approved safety Vest or Shirt and long pants.

Additional Fees All students are required to have a current Cat 3 Medical Certificate prior to course commencement.

Medicals examination can be undertaken on the day of course at the same location for an additional $210 which is payable to Work-recover Medical Centre.

The Medical must be completed by a Rail Approved Health Practitioner approved by NSW Transport, please see link above for a list of approved medical practitioners.

TLIF2080C Safely Access the Rail Corridor

Course Description

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to enter the rail corridor under supervision of a Protection Officer in accordance with Access Provider, legislative and regulatory requirements.

Licensing or certification requirements are not applicable to this unit.

Selection Criteria

Reading and writing - a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts.

Oral communication - a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.

Numeracy and mathematics - a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.

Must be over the age of 18

Due to the physical requirements of this unit the student must be physically fit.

Entry Requirements

Workcover, Construction Induction (White Card) and a Category 3 Medical clearance.

Due to the nature of this course, some disabilities will not allow you to work on the rail corridor worksite and this will be determined during the medical clearance.

Recognition of Prior Learning

All individual students are offered the opportunity to apply for RPL, please see the Student Handbook or enquire at the RTO for the procedure on how to apply.
