Transcription

• In transcription RNA Polymerase splits a section of DNA. Then, mRNA copies the genetic code. After that, the mRNA then leaves the nucleus through a nuclear pore. The mRNA then goes to the cytoplasm and then to the ribosome for translation.

Translation

• In translation, mRNA becomes in contact with the ribosomes. The ribosomes then split apart into two subunits, large and small. Then, the ribosomes reads the mRNA sequence. The ribosomes then translate it into amino acids. The amino acids are connected by a peptide bond, which make a whole protein.
