QR or 2D Codes

A QR Code is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code); a series of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, a URL and even multimedia!readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones.

The GeoHistorian Project

The GeoHistorian project was created to: Investigate cell phones as an educational tool;Demonstrate how resource sites near and far (in this case

a local historical society and historical sites) can be valuable learning resources;

Demonstrate how digital content can be used to amplify learning at such sites;

Give students the opportunity to become local historians and create digital resources for their communities.
