LETTER FROM OUR PASTOR/CARTA DE NUESTRO PARROCO
4 3
Queridos feligreses,
Domingo de Ramos marca el inicio
de la Semana Santa. El Jueves
Santo, el Viernes Santo y la Vigilia
Pascual del Sábado Santo se lla-
man Triduo (tres días) cuando cele-
cios!
Hoy, recibimos las palmas bendecidas. Estamos acostum-
Tu pastor
Padre david
Dear Parishioners,
Palm Sunday signals the begin-
ning of Holy Week. Holy Thurs-
day, Good Friday and the Easter
Vigil on Holy Saturday are called
the Triduum (three days) when
we celebrate the paschal mys-
tery; the mystery of our salvation
carried in the saving acts of the
passion, death and resurrection
of Our Lord. Please arrange your
personal schedule to be present
for these liturgies. To participate
in these liturgies is to be im-
mersed in our Catholic Faith.
In advance, please accept my
sincere appreciation for every-
one who is working together to
prepare the liturgies and events
of Holy Week. This work requires a great sacrifice of time
and effort at an already very busy time of the year. May
Our Lord look upon you and bless you in return for your
goodness and sacrifices!
Today, we receive the blessed palms. We are accustomed
to receiving them and bringing them to our home to en-
lighten our family with the blessings of the Lord’s good-
ness. It is customary to place the palms in a special place
and to remember the presence of the Lord always.
Your Pastor,
Father David.
April 13 & 14 2019/13 & 14 de abril 2019 Fourth Sunday of Advent Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
Dear Parishioners,
On Friday morning April 5 my mother, Ann passed from this life. On February 17 she fell and
began to decline until her passing seven weeks later. She died peacefully in her sleep and my
sisters, Barbara and Mary and I were able to be with her throughout her decline to comfort and
to help her. She was buried from Saint Mary’s Church in Brenham on April 8 and was buried
next to my dad, David who passed from this life three years ago. I celebrated the Mass and
delivered the homily sharing many interesting stories from her life. Thank you for you kindness
throughout and many blessings!
Your Pastor,
Father David.

Why would intelligent, successful people give up ca-
reers, alienate friends, and cause havoc in their fami-
lies...to become Catholic? As he was considering his
own move into the Church, Donald Johnson traveled
around the country to get the story for himself, from
some of today's most interesting and articulate Catholic
voices.
Featuring Jennifer Fulwiler, Holly Ordway, Abby John-
son, Jeff Cavins, Brandon Vogt, Scott Hahn, Francis
Beckwith, Patrick Madrid, Devin Rose, Mark Shea, Leah
Libresco, Kevin Vost, Richard Cole, Mark Regnerus,
David Currie, Matthew Leonard, Taylor Marshall, Jason
Stellman, John Bergsma, Patrick Coffin, Christian
Smith, and Kenneth Howell.
