1. In an earlier 1960s research at the company, the original concept was for a twin-engined floatplane.

2. In 1962, the CL-215 was designed for Water Bombing.

3. CL-215 had its maiden flight on October 1967. In 1969, the plan had its first delivery. Through five series, CL-215s has ended its production.

4. The 415 first flew on December 6, 1963, and made its first deliveries in November 1994.

The CL-215, based on the Bristol Britannia, was the first design that allowed access by swinging the entire rear fuselage.
